  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 8 oz halloumi cheese cut into 1-inch cubes
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ½ cup Quick and Luscious Tomato Sauce

Method
 

  1. Place flour in a shallow dish. In a medium bowl, stir together oregano, cinnamon, and pepper. Dredge cheese cubes in flour, shaking off excess.

  2. Heat olive oil over medium-high heat in a 10-inch skillet. Fry cheese cubes in hot oil for 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

  3. Toss fried cheese cubes in the spice mixture to coat. Serve immediately with the tomato sauce.
