Todd’s Favorite Cookies

A versatile and indulgent cookie recipe featuring a delightful mix of chocolate morsels, peanut butter chips, and optional walnuts for crunch. This base recipe invites customization with your favorite chips, delivering a perfect balance of gooey melted chocolate and satisfying texture in every bite.
- Unsalted butter (1 cup softened)
- Granulated sugar (1 cup)
- Firmly packed brown sugar (1 cup)
- Large eggs (2)
- Vanilla extract (2 tsp.)
- All-purpose flour (3 cups)
- Baking soda (1 tsp.)
- Kosher salt (1 tsp.)
- Baking powder (¼ tsp.)
- Semisweet chocolate morsels (1½ cups)
- Milk chocolate morsels (½ cup)
- White chocolate morsels (½ cup)
- Walnuts (½ cup coarsely chopped)
- Peanut butter morsels (¼ cup (optional))
- Preheat oven to 350°. Beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar at medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating until blended after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
- Combine flour and next 3 ingredients. Gradually add to butter mixture, and beat until blended after each addition. Stir in semisweet chocolate, next 3 ingredients, and, if desired, peanut butter morsels. Drop by 2 tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are browned. Cool on baking sheets 2 minutes. Remove from baking sheets to a wire rack.
