Todd’s Favorite Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • Unsalted butter 1 cup softened
  • Granulated sugar 1 cup
  • Firmly packed brown sugar 1 cup
  • Large eggs 2
  • Vanilla extract 2 tsp.
  • All-purpose flour 3 cups
  • Baking soda 1 tsp.
  • Kosher salt 1 tsp.
  • Baking powder ¼ tsp.
  • Semisweet chocolate morsels 1½ cups
  • Milk chocolate morsels ½ cup
  • White chocolate morsels ½ cup
  • Walnuts ½ cup coarsely chopped
  • Peanut butter morsels ¼ cup (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°. Beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar at medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating until blended after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  2. Combine flour and next 3 ingredients. Gradually add to butter mixture, and beat until blended after each addition. Stir in semisweet chocolate, next 3 ingredients, and, if desired, peanut butter morsels. Drop by 2 tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
  3. Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are browned. Cool on baking sheets 2 minutes. Remove from baking sheets to a wire rack.
